Krystal “Krys” Carter, is a multimedia creative director, poetic storyteller, and journalist. Krystal has been a freelance photographer for five years and a poet since kindergarten. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2024, with a B.A. in Journalism and Communication Studies. Throughout her academic career she has studied and practiced, video production, photojournalism, broadcast media, documentary storytelling, graphic design, audio production, book publishing, brand development, digital and print marketing, Arabic, Spanish, and various styles of written storytelling, scriptwriting, and entrepreneurship.

In her art she is seeking and capturing true stories to shine compassionate spotlights on unique individuals, to unite different collectives. Reminding people that we are all connected and all finding our way. With all of her art she imbues grounding, worldly thoughts and reflections. Tying in her background in journalism, intercultural and interpersonal communication studies with roots in spiritual, thought-provoking, poetry. Krystal’s goal is to create a notable career in music, television, film, and media through poetic storytelling.
